Great article, thank you!

The BSB season opens on Easter weekend at Brands Hatch with the Superstock race taking place on bank holiday Monday. The following week it's all down to our 'local' track at Thruxton near Andover, it'd be great to see some local supporters there ;-)

Fantastic news, 100 per cent behind this.
This will be great for the area and our councillors need to help make this happen.

If Locks Heath Centre and Fareham can't give us access to the shops we need then Whiteley will win hands down. Can't wait for a hassle free wide selection of usable shops within a 10 minute drive- bring it on. Or, sort out the shortcomings of retail diversity at Locks Heath, the butchers is a start, what's needed now is hardware (eg Robert Dyas), another bank (eg Nationwide) and another Chemist to take the pressure off Everitts. What we don't need is more coffee shops or estate agents !

.“It has come through the LINk’s consultation that the VAST MAJORITY preferred that as well.”

The above statement seemingly by Cllr WoodWard and similiar quotations reported elsewhere within the media that a "vast majority " supported the option is based upon the 440 out of the 621 people that responded to the Hampshire Link Survey from a possible population size of 45600*+ ( i.e 0.96% of a possible maximum response ). Not exactly VAST is it.

* This figure being arrived at from a combination of patient list sizes for the surgeries the survey was open to.

The report ,as was pointed out BEFORE the meeting took place , failed to state within the body or appendices of the Hampshire Link report the reason why 181 apparently "declined" ,in the words of the report, to answer question 4 which was the specific question concerning the 3 options available.

The 181 " declining " respondents correspond exactly to those individuals who felt so strongly that they chose to comment upon the options available by registering an alternative to them. These replys should have been acknowledged within the Hampshire Link Survey and not " swept under the carpet to be forgotten"

What a welcome addition to the Locks Heath Centre. Having already tried some of what's on offer I can truly recommend a visit. Everyone is very helpful and prices are from Planet Earth !
New River (Locks Heath Centre landlords) are to be congratulated on attracting this business to the centre, lets hope there will be yet more diversity when the new shops are built adjacent to the Co-op.
