Police appeal after woman’s purse stolen in Park Gate

Police have issued a CCTV still of a woman they want to speak to after a purse was stolen in the Co-op in Park Gate.

Detectives want to hear from anyone who recognises the woman in the picture.

A 63-year-old woman who was in the store between 1pm and 1.10pm on November 14 accidentally left her purse containing cash and bank card on the Post Office Counter while she was making enquiries with staff.

The next customer, a young woman with dark hair and wearing a blue jacket is alleged to have concealed the purse and left the store, making no attempt to locate the owner.

Investigating Officer, PC Lee Paddick from the local Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “Please remember never leave your belongings unattended and always ensure your bag is zipped up.”

    Can they not track back the package or letter she sent from the post office queue?

      I asume with the wellies and get up she must work at the stables around the area.
